Status: Under Construction
Scheme: New Build One-Off House / Client: Private / Type: Residential / Location: Hampshire
Construction is underway in the village of Upham, near Winchester, on one of our high-end new build houses. As the project nears completion, we are beginning to see the external form and interior spaces take shape.
The radical proposal replaces an existing cottage and associated outbuildings on the site that had fallen into a state of disrepair. Following success at planning appeal, this new house is entirely modern and contemporary in appearance.
It includes four large bedrooms, each with ensuite and countryside views as well as a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with feature expanses of glazing.
Carefully considered details have been incorporated such as bespoke joinery, specially fabricated slimline copings, and brick cantilevers that will complement the high level of finish.
The project is aiming for completion during 2019 with a specially designed landscape scheme by Andy McIndoe.
This project is a collaboration between Design Engine, who were responsible for concept design and the planning stages, and Paul Cashin Architects, who are responsible for delivering the construction phase.
