The Yard, Wickham - Planning Achieved for Mixed Use Scheme
We are pleased to announce that the mixed use scheme proposals, for Buddens Yard in Wickham, Hampshire, has now recieved planning permission. Initially submitted in 2022 the scheme proposes a new redevelopment on the site of some aging farm shop units, just north of the Wickham Square.
The design includes Class E use comprising E(a) retail use, E(g(i)) office use, E(b) cafe use and sui generis uses including a tap room and soft play centre, together with landscaping, parking and associated works following demolition and site preparation.
The vision for the new commercial development in Wickham, Hampshire, is to create a dynamic, pedestrian friendly mixed use scheme with an attractive public space at its heart. The development will have strong links across the site, with connections to the existing local Village Square. The design looks to complement the existing offer in Wickham village, retaining and refurbishing some of the original structures to bring elements of history into the new proposal.
