As a practice we aim to create architecture that is responsive to the unique constraints and requirements of each individual site, client and brief. In this way, our architecture attempts to solve problems with a sense of meaning, whilst reconciling built form with place and landscape.
Our design approach focuses on the principles of construction, designing all aspects in great detail, advising on how each design decision moves towards betterment for the client, as well as the public at large. We are interested in appropriate materials, strong geometries, and concepts of monumetality and distinctiveness.
Our approach to practice has always been collaborative, working regularly with a wide range of specialists and consultants in order to offer expert design services to our clients. In the initial stages of the project we can provide initial design ideas and strong concepts. We have an extensive understanding of the planning process and often guide projects as Agent with the Local Authorities.
We tend to work as Project Lead as well as Architect, helping clients throughout the construction phase. This can involve Construction Management and Contract Administration which allows us to deliver value and maintain control of budgets.
We have completed a range of projects across the country, mainly focusing along the south coast of the UK. Our work covers the southern counties including East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, The Cotswolds, Dorset, Surrey, and Devon. We have experience of delivering contemporary projects in sensitive areas such as in national parks and rural Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including the New Forest and the South Downs National Park. We also specialise in conservation areas often involving listed buildings or heritage assets.
As a practice we specialises in contemporary, thoughtful and sensitive building and design projects of multiple sizes and sectors, including the private residential sector, commercial sector and housing development schemes.
